The Crib Campervan
Our OG green-and-purple Crib is famous at Australia’s travel hotspots, thanks to its nifty custom-built design and cool camper features.
Driving around Australia with your belongings, bed, and a cleverly designed kitchen has never been so easy (nor as easy to park). Formerly a soccer-mum minivan, we’ve turned this caterpillar into a beautiful butterfly. Convert the two bench seats into a bed by night, and be wowed by the compact kitchen as you cook up a campground feast.
If you’re looking for a fuel-efficient, effortless ride, book your JUCY Crib online or call us on 1800 150 850.

*If using a debit card, a $300 security bond is required even with Stress Free & Stress Free Plus
PLEASE NOTE:
- For hires of 51 days and over, a maximum of 50 days excess reduction premium will be charged.
- It is your responsibility to collect accurate third party details in the event of an accident, regardless of what excess reduction cover you have taken, and regardless also of fault.
- If Stress Free Plus excess reduction is not taken, and roof/rooftop pod damage or single vehicle rollover incident occurs, a charge of up to $5,000 will apply to cover damage to the JUCY vehicle and any third party vehicle and/or property.
- If Risk Taker excess reduction is chosen:
- A bond to cover the excess will be pre-authorised for security on the hirer’s credit card, even if you have alternative insurance with another provider.
- All or part of this bond will be claimed by JUCY in the event of an accident and will be retained until the value of the damage is determined. Any balance between the bond and the damage cost will be returned as soon as is practical.
- Any costs to repair damage caused by a third party may not be recoverable as insurance is not compulsory in Australia.
- If you are on Stress Free or Stress Free plus and don't have a credit card and are providing a debit card at the time of pickup, JUCY will hold a $300 security bond to cover any infringements and/or charges that may occur whilst on hire e.g. Tolls, speeding fines, cleaning fees, camping fines etc.
- JUCY’s excess reduction options are null and void if any of the Rental Agreement terms and conditions are breached, in which case you will be liable for the full cost of damage. For more information please see JUCY Ts & Cs.
- Please know that the bond we have authorized will automatically be released (if you haven't broken any JUCY T&Cs) either 7 days after you've picked up or 48 hours after you've dropped off– whichever is the earliest. You could notice it takes between 7 - 30 business days to show back up, which is all depending on your bank/card provider. Please note that once it's back safely in your bank it won't appear as a refund on your statement because it was only held as an authorisation.
Other campervan options
The tiny home movement is so hot right now. We’re like, duh, of course it is. We’ve been custom-building #vanlife tiny homes for nearly two decades!
We have long known that a compact space and a clever design can give you everything you need for an enjoyable time on the road. When you rent a JUCY Crib, you’re saying yes to one of the easiest campervan drives around (something you’ll find especially true when you park in the city centre). And our Crib’s compact size means it’s economical on petrol, too.
We’ve built some cool features into the vehicle’s interior. Storage space hides under the two bench seats and removable tabletop. It’s the perfect set up for dining in after cooking in the kitchen we’ve craftily hidden in the boot.
When the stars begin to shine and a few yawns creep in, a quick shuffle of the bench seats, and a double bed emerges. Add bedding (provided at no extra charge), pull the curtains, and you’re all set for a night filled with dreams of white sandy beaches, curious koalas, and nature’s finest landscapes.
If you’re ready to book your Crib, call us on 1800 150 850 or book online today. If you’re planning a trip over the Australian summer, get in early, as we will sell out.
Where to Go in Your JUCY Crib?
If you’ve made it this far, you’re considering a low-cost, super fun road trip in our JUCY Crib. If only our Cribs could talk, the countless adventures it has been on!
Well, we don’t need our Crib to turn into Kitt from Knight Rider (80s ref, peeps) to know how to share a good itinerary or two. Nah, we've gone ahead and prepped some of our favourite destinations to travel to in a JUCY Crib. Read on!
The Gold Rush Rennaissance: Exploring the Best of the Gold Coast
The Gold Coast has gained popularity lately, thanks to 2020/21 gifting Australians the chance to reflect on what’s important in life. It turns out it is tropical weather, gorgeous beaches, and a hinterland so lush it looks surreal.
We set you off to a good start as our Gold Coast branch is only a block or so from the glorious sandy stretch of Greenmount Beach. Of course, you’ll want to actually leave the area, and for that, we recommend a ton of cool places.
Currumbin is an excellent kick-off point to show the diversity experienced on the Gold Coast. Get amongst the lush flora and wild-about-it fauna in Currumbin Valley. Head inland to the ancient rainforests found at Lamington National Park and Springbrook National Park. And don’t forget all the watersports action on the coast! With a lot of mountain roads to explore, you’ll be pleased to be travelling in our Crib compact 2-berth campervan! Want the finer deets? Head here!
Free to Roam: Adelaide to Melbourne
Did you know that JUCY permits one-way trips (for a fee)? That means that you can enjoy a journey like this Adelaide to Melbourne itinerary without having to worry about returning your JUCY Crib to our Adelaide branch. We know our Adelaide branch is convenient (it’s near the airport), but we also know that when you’re in explorer mode, you want the freedom to go far and wide! Plus, when you drop off in Melbs, you can choose between our Melbourne Airport or Melbourne City branches. Who says you can’t have it all?
Of course, the star of the show on this trip is not us (sadly), but the incredible sights you see along this 700-kilometre+ route. Like the stunning landscape of Second Valley in the Fleurieu Peninsula and the windswept beaches of Robe. And is there a bigger attraction on this iconic route than the 12 Apostles on Great Ocean Road? Probs not! This is a 7-day road trip for the recordsand one that is best experienced in a JUCY campervan hire!
Escape the Rat Race: Cairns to Airlie Beach
Are you looking for a road trip that gets you offline, away from the news, drama, and hubbub of everyday life? Awesome, then you’ll love our 10-day Sunshine State itinerary from Cairns to Airlie Beach.
Picture yourself wandering the colourful Kuranda Markets. Or spying kangaroos as you hike the trails of Barron Gorge National Park. How will you feel as you gorge yourself on delectable treats in the Atherton Tablelands? Or when you take a dip in the Devil’s Pools? Starting to get the idea?
Whether it’s checking out cute towns, incredible natural sights, wandering wildlife or this route’s breathtaking beaches, you will not be disappointed in your life choice to take this epic Cairns to Airlie Beach road trip!
Sunny Side Up: Brisbane to 1770
Not every Australian roadie has to include long drives. Nope. When you have a stretch of coast as exceptional as the one from Brisbane to the Sunshine Coast and up to 1770, you can spend more time relaxing than ever before! Especially when you’re conveniently travelling in a custom-converted 2-berth campervan!
It all starts from our Brisbane Airport branch, where you’ll head north to stunning Noosa. Noosa is everyone’s idea of a good time: perpetual sunshine, postcard-perfect vistas, and good food to boot. Not that you need to eat out when you have a cool kitchen of your own to cook a feast in.
Our 7-day campervan road trip itinerary continues from the quaint markets of Eumundi to the historically significant 1770 and Agnes Water. It’s the perfect kicking off point for Lady Musgrove Island, too, where the southern Great Barrier Reef awaits. Oh, and you can’t travel this far without a visit to the whale watching capital of Australia: Harvey Bay!
There’s no denying this is a doozy of a roadie and one you won’t want to miss!
The Route Less Travelled: Gold Coast to Melbourne
It’s not one of our most talked-about road trip routes, but that makes it no less worthy of your time. On this 6-day Gold Coast to Melbourne roadie, you can cram in a lot of cool stuff.
Like what kind of stuff, you say? Attractions like the popular Arrawarra surf beach and coastal eye candy found in the Port Macquarie area. And you won’t want to miss Jervis Bay, home to the world’s whitest sand. Nor the 400-million-year-old Buchan Caves, near Lakes Entrance in Victoria. More magic follows in Wilsons Promontory National Park before you bid farewell to your JUCY Crib (or any JUCY campervan, really) at our either Melbourne Airport or Melbourne City branches.
